A MAN was taken to hospital with head injuries after an incident on a Fenland riverside road.

The cyclist, thought to be in his 40s, was found by passing motorists at around 5pm yesterday along the Sixteen Foot Drain, near Bedlam Bridge on the outskirts of March.

An ambulance crew arrived, followed by a Magpas doctor and paramedic in the police helicopter, to find the man conscious and breathing but not fully responsive.

It is thought the man may have suffered a seizure as police confirmed that no other vehicle is believed to have been involved in the incident.

The man was taken by road to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon.
