A March dance school held a party to celebrate the results of their exams – with 18 students awarded top level grades.

The Vera Frances School of Dance came together with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) to present the certificates.

Pupils ranging from 5 to 17 were commended for their success, with 18 students awarded top level distinction grades and a further 19 merits.

Seven of the youngest pupils also received highly commended, the highest award available for their respective age.

Forty-four exams were entered for ballet and tap grades with all gaining either the highest or secondary level ratings.

Teachers Vera Frances and Lynda Ward-Cray said they were immensely proud of everyone.

The event took place on Saturday February 9.
