Dancers hit the floor with style when Doddington Court held a ballroom blitz.
The 1940s themed event saw professional dancers visit a care home to entertain with music, dancing and sing-alongs.
Sanctuary Extra Care’s Doddington Court, on Benwick Road, played host to the Blitz Dancers who taught residents some old-time communal dances culled from the 1930s and 1940s.
Extra care manager Julie Booker said: “This is a perfect chance for residents to discover – or maybe even relive – a few dance hall numbers from decades gone by, brush up on their dance steps and learn some new ones.”
The Sanctuary Supported Living group provides accommodation and support to over 6,000 disadvantaged or vulnerable people nationwide whose needs cannot be met in general needs accommodation.
