A CHATTERIS couple who met at a dance in the town have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
Edward Richardson and Pamela Rogers were married at the Methodist Chapel in New Road on September 29 1956, almost two years after meeting at The Palace.
Mr Richardson was a landworker and Mrs Richardson worked in the surveyor's office of the former Chatteris Urban District Council.
The couple of Eden Crescent, have a son, Paul, a daughter, Zoe, and a grandson, Josh.
Mrs Richardson said: "Friends are always welcome but we enjoy just being real homebirds.
