A RECENTLY appointed deputy head of a Fenland school was among those to complete the London Marathon. Richard Moore of Kingsfield Primary School, Chatteris, took up his new post this term but on Sunday was busy running the marathon for the first time. Mr

A RECENTLY appointed deputy head of a Fenland school was among those to complete the London Marathon.

Richard Moore of Kingsfield Primary School, Chatteris, took up his new post this term but on Sunday was busy running the marathon for the first time.

Mr Moore, a keen footballer who plays for Cottenham United, took 3 hours 22 minutes to complete the race and raised £500 for the Bobby Moore Cancer Research Fund.

He moved to Chatteris from Cottenham Primary School.
