Two musicians are running a competition to design the artwork for their first album and are looking for people to take part in a video for their charity single Angels.

Work colleagues, Singer Jules Atkins, of Ely, and guitarist Mike Rowe, of Christchurch, are hoping somebody creative will come up with a stunning design for their band Two Free.

The artwork is for their first album called Chance Meeting and the first prize is a £40 art voucher. Second prize is a £10 art voucher. The competition is open to all ages and the closing date is Friday August 1.

The pair, who both work for East Cambridgeshire District Council, have been performing as Two Free for four years and have raised more than £600 for charity by busking around Ely and Downham Market.

They have raised money for cancer charities and are raising more for cancer and the mental health charity Sane by releasing the single called Angels.

Ms Atkins said: “It started out as an amateur thing for fun but we have realised it is also a good way to bring in money for good causes.”

Ms Atkins fought and beat cancer and Mr Rowe has suffered with depression.

“Having both been ill, we are trying to do things we love and writing lyrics and singing music is one of them!

“I appreciate every day now and perhaps do things I wouldn’t have done before.”
