WHEN grandmother Brenda Walker bought a picture frame from a second hand store in March she got more than she bargained for.

At the back of the frame she found nine photos of children, and now the Cambs Times and Wisbech Standard are hoping to reunite the portraits with their rightful owner.

Brenda’s husband Roy explained: “When Brenda found the frame, it was just what she wanted, to display photos our of grandchildren. She took the frame apart, and was really surprised to find the photos in the back.

“We love to have photos of our six grandchildren on display, so we feel it is important to get these pictures back to their owner if possible.”

Brenda bought the frame from The Acre Attic in Acre Road. “The frame might have come from a car boot sale or a house clearance, so its original owner may be miles away,” added Roy.

But one of the boys in the pictures appears to be wearing a school blazer from Cromwell Community College in Chatteris, so the owner may be from Fenland.
