Police want help with an investigation following the theft of a woman’s purse at a supermarket in Peterborough.
A woman in her late 20s was shopping in Aldi in Whittlesey Road, Stanground, on Monday (June 15) between 12pm and 12.30pm when her purse was stolen.
She was looking at men’s shorts and T-shirts in the centre aisle when a man approached her and asked about the pricing of something.
When she went to pay for some items she discovered her purse, which had been in her handbag, was missing.
Later she was alerted by her bank that an attempt was made to use one of her bank cards in the Stanground Morrisons store at about 12.45pm.
Officers would like to speak with the two men in the CCTV image.
Anyone who recognises the two men in the CCTV image should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
