FARMERS had to take emergency action when a tractor caught fire next to a barn.
The Ford 6600 accidentally started to burn next to a brick building in Newgate Street, Doddington at 9.49pm on Wednesday (June 30).
The flames were just 1.5m away from the building, causing the farmers to move other machinery out of the way in case the blaze spread.
Luckily fire fighters from Chatteris and March got the scene quickly and put out the fire before any more damage was done.
The crews returned to their bases by 10.39pm.
