POLICE called to a road accident in March found drink driver Martin Copeman had pulled out into the path of another car.
Copeman, 41, of Elwyn Road, March, failed a roadside breath test, and later gave a test reading of 58 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath, the legal limit being 35.
At Fenland Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, Copeman said he had drunk some lager, and had been on his way back from the chip shop when the accident happened at the junction of Station Road and Alpha Street on May 2.
He was banned from driving for 16 months and fined £50 with £55 costs.
