Driver taken to hospital after car ends up in ditch in Chatteris

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with minor injuries after his car ended up in a ditch in Chatteris today. (Wednesday)

Police, two fire crews, an ambulance crew and Magpas were called to the single vehicle collision on the A141 near First Furlong Drove at 1.10pm.

A vehicle was on its side following the collision and firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to release a casualty who was left in the care of the ambulance service.

The man was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for further treatment.
