A DRUG dealer who owned more than £2,000 worth of cannabis that was tipped over a fence when police raided her Chatteris home was sentenced this week.

Fifty-three-year-old Suzanne Hodgkins, who sold drugs to fund her own habit, was given a 12-month supervision order with the probation service.

She must also attend a 30-day skills for life course, and pay £75 costs, Fenland magistrates announced on Wednesday.

Hodgkins, of Curf Terrace, had admitted possessing both cannabis and cannabis resin with intent to supply.

More than 50 wraps of cannabis resin, two blocks of cannabis resin and some herbal cannabis was discarded by Jason Bywater, who lived with Hodgkins, said prosecutor Andrew Williams.

At earlier hearing he was given a 12-month conditional discharge after admitting the possession of both cannabis and cannabis resin.

Hodgkins' solicitor Anita Waterman explained: "She sold cannabis to a small group of similarly mature people who take cannabis for their own reasons.

She did not look for customers," she added.
