The Hobbit Hole is stocking a range of Wargames alongside a host of other table top games to suit the tastes of customers.

John Freeman, who has opened the shop after being an online Warhammer ebay trader from his garage for the last five years, said: “If people want to see certain tournaments or certain games then just get in touch, I am open to all suggestions.

“I started by selling a collection of Warhammer dwarves for a friend and it just snowballed from there and turned into a busy business that completely took over my garage.”

Mr Freeman, who was a publican in Cheltenham before trading, is a massive gaming fan and has been playing for years.

Now his hobby has turned into a high street business with his new store opening in Chatteris High Street on Saturday June 7 in the site of the former Antiques Centre, next to Budgens.

Doors open this weekend for a Saturday morning tournament of Blood Bowl and an afternoon tournament of Warhammer 40K.

He plans to run tournaments in Bolt Action, Star Trek Attack Wing and is considering a Pokemon challenge also.

On Sunday the grand opening weekend continues with a variety of game demonstrations with the help of the local gaming club The Chatteris Warlords.

On Friday evening from 6pm there is a pre-opening Magic the Gathering Tournament.
