Village of Eastrea comes together to pay respect and to remember the fallen on Remembrance Day

‘They died that we might live’ the moving inscription at the top of the memorial around which villagers at Eastrea gathered to remember those from their community who died in both world wars.
Seven died from the village in the Great War and two from Eastrea died in the last war.
All were remembered, together with others from the village and the Fens who lost their lives in battle, were thought about and remembered during Armistice Day.
