A Cambridgeshire charity that supports people with learning difficulties is celebrating after receiving a grant from the Burnt House Wind Farm.
Eddie’s Fenland has been given £6,000 from the wind farm in Turves through the Cambridgeshire Community Fund (CCF), which donates money to local causes every year.
The funding will help Eddie’s expand its artworks sessions, which offers arts, crafts, drama and music to children and adults with learning disabilities in Fenland.
Eddie’s Fenland Artworks runs from Monday to Wednesday from 10am until 3pm and also provides support to teenagers moving into adult services during the school holidays.
Helen Thurley, Eddie’s Head of Services said: “We are very grateful to everyone at The Burnt House Wind Farm and CCF for choosing to support Eddie’s Artworks. Artworks has a huge variety of benefits to the people we support and we are keen to build on its current success for the future.
“This year at Artworks we intend to hold a Christmas show as well as getting more involved with other community groups and projects. We look forward to welcoming new Artworks members as well as new volunteers to support the service.”
