AN elderly man died this morning in March Library.

Paramedics attended the library, in City Road, at around 10.30am but the man, thought to be around 70 years old, was found to be dead at the scene. He is thought to have suffered a cardiac arrest.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were called by the Ambulance Service at 10.32am this morning to the Library on City Road in March, following reports of a sudden death of a 70-year-old man.

“It is not being treated as suspicious and has now been passed to the coroner.”

A Cambridgeshire County Council spokesman said: “A man became unwell at the library and emergency services attended. The library was closed between 10.30am and 12.20pm. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.”
