A man who has been a member of the March Lions club for 40 years has been awarded for his long service.

Trevor Quince, who joined the club in 1976, received a letter and 40-year pin from Lions Clubs International president Ian Groome.

Lion Alexander Groome said: “As all Lions are committed to helping the local community Trevor has been leading the way for many years.

“His health is not what it used to be but he still plays an active part in March Lions.

“He is always encouraging members to go that extra mile for the community and is always first to volunteer where he can.

“He has brought many people into the club over the years.”
