Councillor Diane Baldry has sent a £626 cheque to Epilepsy Action, representing £100 for every mile she ran on New Year's Day in the 10-kilometre charity race at Wymondham.

The town councillor is grateful for all the help she received for the run and to all those who sponsored her. She decided to raise the cash for a charity which had offered her considerable support over the last two years following a massive seizure on Christmas Day, 2004 while out walking her dogs at St Ives with a friend. She is now on medication for life and luckily has not suffered further problems.
