Budding authors are invited to enter a short story competition that will see winning entries published in a magazine.
Cambridgeshire-based indie publisher Eyrie Press is running its short story competition for the third year.
Publisher Jane Spencer said: “We are very excited to be holding our third short story competition. The entries to the 2016 and 2017 competitions, which were run under our former name of Bird’s Nest Books, were incredibly enjoyable and we are very much looking forward to reading this year’s stories.
“We are delighted to welcome back our judges, authors Sue Welfare and Jon Lawrence.”
The competition is open to anyone aged 16 and over living in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Lincolnshire or Peterborough.
The winning entry will receive a £75 cash prize and see their story published in The Fens magazine with a circulation of 18,000.
With copies in Peterborough’s Queensgate Shopping Centre, the winner is guaranteed a wide audience.
Stories must be a maximum of 1,000 words. There is no set theme but graphic horror or erotica will not be accepted.
