FACET students were treated to a visit from current middle weight champion and Peterborough sports personality of the year Marcelllo Renda.
Marcello met all of the students individually who attend the charity education centre on Marwick Road in March.
He posed for photographs before giving a few words of advice on how dedication and commitment to sport can make a positive impact on life, no matter what anyone’s ability may be.
Marcello, who brought along his newly won title belt, said: “I was very privileged to be invited to FACET. It was really lovely to see so many people with smiles on their faces and have some photos taken, hopefully they enjoyed the day as much as I did.”
FACET manager Kris Harrold said: “Marcello has a great story of finding success after overcoming a lot of things in his life.
“I hope the students found his visit inspirational and enjoyed posing with Marcello and his belt, we really appreciate his time and hope he’ll be back to visit again soon.”
