A gala and fun dog show was a roaring success at Block Fen when the family day out raised almost £3,000 for charity.

The 11th annual gala day at RSPCA Block Fen near March drew massive crowds who brought along their dogs to enjoy a day of stalls, games, entertainment and dog show.

An RSPCA spokesman said: “Despite an epic rain storm, the day was a success with visitors enjoying the dog show and scurry, an assortment of trade stands and entertainment for children.”

Queen Elsa joined the day to help raise money for animals in the RSPCA’s care.

“The centre raised £2,973.42 which will be spent on the animals in their care many of whom have been rescued by RSPCA Inspectors.”
