A daily tot of whisky is the secret to long life for Florence Fraser who this festive season celebrated her 100th birthday on Friday.
Mrs Fraser, who lives at Aliwal Manor care home in Whittlesey, was surrounded by five generations of her family who organised a party on Saturday to mark the occasion.
She has two children, five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson.
Mrs Fraser, whose son-in-law is Fenland district councillor Trevor Quince, still enjoys reading and watching her favourite TV shows.
Cllr Quince said: “In her day she was an incredibly accomplished knitter, people would always ask her for something and know it would be incredibly well done. She always enjoys being around her family.”
