A FAMILY service at the Methodist Church on Sunday was conducted by the Rev Heather Walker. Lessons were read by Veronica Nelson and Tony Walker. The Rev Walker gave a talk about the Prophet Amos with Visual Aids and was assisted by Sarah-Jane Knight and Abigail Peters. Steward was Sarah-Jane Knight and organist was Doreen Diggle. Coffee and biscuits were served afterwards by Veronica Nelson, Elaine and Sarah-Jane Knight. The previous Friday evening the Rev Walker conducted the monthly "Shalom" service, attended by members of various churches in the Wisbech Methodist Circuit. This is a quiet 'service with a difference' and included holy communion, conducted by the Rev Walker who spoke about "Relationships" within the Church. Everyone was given a pinch of salt and a nightlight symbolising the work of the church to be the salt of the earth and lights in the world.
