FAMOUS author Steve Parker passed on his writing skills to students at Cromwell Community College when he visited Chatteris.
Mr Parker, an author, editor and consultant who specialises in illustrated books on the natural world and science, spent the day with Year 7 pupils talking about his life.
He shared his love of football before organising mini workshops teaching youngsters how to write under pressure.
The Fellow of the Zoological Society of London, who has had worked published by Dorling Kindersley and Haymarket, also donated some of his books to the school library and handed out prizes for the best pieces of work completed on the day.
