THEY may be facing a win or bust match on Wednesday, but that hasn’t stopped a group of patriotic England fans decorating their car in support of the Three Lions in South Africa.
Organisers from Leisure Leagues, which runs a six-a-side tournament at Neale-Wade Community College, painted a striking image of striker Wayne Rooney on the bonnet of one of their Ford Escorts.
David Perkins, from Leisure Leagues’ new business team, said: “I thought as a company we should do something to mark the tournament. The image of Wayne Rooney really struck a chord with me.”
He will now be hoping the painting will bring England good luck as they try to get through the group stages of the competition.
Mr Perkins said: “If we bring home the World Cup, I think we might have to get the whole car done.”
