Father-of-two raises more than 1,000 for meningitis research with London to Paris cycle ride

FATHER-OF-TWO Chris Copeman has cycled from London to Paris - raising more than 1,000 to help fight the disease that threatened to kill his son.

Chris, from March, completed the 300-mile ride alongside eight work colleagues to raise money for the Meningitis Research Foundation.

Pneumococcal Meningitis left his son Harry fighting for life when he was just three months old - but the youngster is now a healthy six-year-old.

Chris said: “I feel really good. I would like to thank all my sponsors for their kind support and for all the encouragement I received.”

Chris, who has also done the Great North Run to raise money for the foundation, can still be sponsored by visiting: www.justgiving.com/Chris-Copeman
