THE meeting of the Methodist Church Women's Fellowship was held in the Methodist Schoolroom when members were joined by members of Emneth Fellowship who provided the programme.
Rita Coleman presided and gave a talk about the work of the Playmates Association in King's Lynn. Playmates supports sick and disabled children, especially victims of the Chernobyl disaster of 1986.
Prayers were led by Mabel West and readings were by Arthur Thompson, Pam Willison, Barbara Fountain, Shirley Folds, Dorothy Robshaw and Mabel West (who was also pianist). A recitation was given by George Bettinson, a psalm was read all together and hymns were chosen by members.
A collection raised £16 and refreshments were served by Shirley Folds and Barbara Fountain.
