Top Oxford archaeologist Paddy Lambert is the first speaker in a series of talks being launched by Fenland Archaeological Society.

Mr Lambert, who is an archaeologist with Oxford Archaeology East and specialises in the history and material culture of the Roman world, will speak on Tuesday October 13 on ‘All roads lead to Rome: road in Roman Britain’.

He has excavated Roman sites in the UK and France, most recently a high-status rural settlement site in Essex.

The talk will begin at 7.30 pm on Tuesday, at Mendi’s Restaurant, 21 Old Market Place in Wisbech. Members of the public are welcome. Entrance is £2 for non-members.
