FENLAND councillors Peter Murphy and Bernard Keane showed plenty of Christmas spirit when they opened a new play park in Southwell Close, March, on Tuesday.
They were joined there by Bob Ollier and Kevin Wilkins from Fenland District Council’s parks and leisure team.
All were in a suitably playful mood, donning Santa hats to test the new see-saw, one of the pieces of equipment that the council has installed there at a cost of 37,000.
Earlier in the day Cllr Murphy had teamed up with other councillors in Station Road, Whittlesey, to open another play park which has undergone a 52,000 refurbishment.
