Fenland District Council’s CCTV team plays instrumental role in big month of arrests and fines

A council’s CCTV team responded to 163 incidents in one month.

In September, Fenland District Council’s CCTV team assisted in 18 arrests and 15 fines for offences including shoplifting, burglary, alcohol related violent crime and drink driving,

A report, which will appear before FDC’s Cabinet, said: “The council continues to focus on delivering a pro-active service which clearly helps identify community safety matters and crime related incidents to ensure timely interventions are made by relevant agencies and partners.”
