MORE local food producers, including a nurseryman and a vegetable man, are wanted to join the Farmers' Markets held in three of Fenland's towns. They are held in Whittlesey and Wisbech fortnightly on Fridays and on the last Thursday of each month in March.Farmers' Markets offer local producers the opportunity to sell directly to the public, thereby cutting out the middle man and maximising potential return for their efforts. They also encourage the public to get connected with local foods and allow shoppers to obtain information, advice and recipes directly from the growers.Anyone interested in taking a stall or finding out more details should contact Mike Chapman, markets manager on 01945 427180, 07950 751870 or you can e-mail mchapman@fenland.gov.uk
