I’m not sure whether any of your readers can help me with a query we received from a member of our Family History Society.
It concerns a trophy his grandfather won at The Cambridgeshire Agricultural Show some time between 1900-1925. It could be narrowed down to 1910-1925 but it is difficult to guess his age from the photo. The trophy was believed to be for the best team of heavy horses at the show and was presented to Thomas Loughton of Friday Bridge. We were sent the photo from Arthur
Loughton – his grandson who now lives in Canada – who is 79. I hope someone
out there may be able to help Mr Loughton solve this trophy-related mystery.
