A MAN got his leg stuck in a potato harvester today in a Fenland village.
The 36-year-old man was working with the harvester in a field off Dykemoor Drove North, Doddington, shortly after 11am when the incident happened.
Firefighters from March and Chatteris and a rescue vehicle from Huntingdon were called to the incident. After they arrived they helped a mechanic remove the rollers of the harvester to release the man.
An ambulance, an air ambulance and an officer in a rapid response vehicle were also mobilised to the incident.
An ambulance service spokeswoman said there was no major difficulty getting to the man, who was on top of the harvester, and was taken to Peterborough District Hospital once released.
