FENLAND Slimming World groups have provided a �350 boost to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Groups have raised money for the air ambulance during the past 12 weeks by pledging weight loss targets, holding bring and buy sales, donating raffle money and playing games.
Helen Moore, March Slimming World consultant, said: “Our members have been fantastic and it was their choice to raise money for the air ambulance. Everyone has really supported the cause massively.”
Weight loss has been the main focus of fundraising with March members losing a staggering 62 stone between them while Chatteris members shed 52 stone.
Ms Moore and Georgina Plumb, Chatteris consultant were thrilled with the weight-loss results and presented the cheque for the money raised so far to Mary Dunn, an East Anglian Air Ambulance fundraiser.
