At the war memorial on the village green at Coates, villagers turned up in great numbers to commemorate Armistice Day.
On the memorial are 46 names of those who lost their lives in the Great War and a further seven who died fighting for their country in the Second World War.
To those brave Fenland souls, and to others who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in other conflicts through the years, the village re-united in pride to remember them.
