Nine brave men left Turves - one of our smallest communities - for the Great War. None were to return. On Sunday the village paid tribute.

A small Fenland community stood silent on Sunday in memory of those who died in 1914-18 conflict.

The stark message on the memorial lists those nine members of the Turves community who served in the Great War, never to return.
Those taking part in the Remembrance Sunday event were able to take note of the fallen from the village whose names are remembered on the memorial.
