A Fenland woman celebrated her 103rd birthday in style ... with a karaoke party.
Hilda Quince performed Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll Meet Again’ in front of her five generations of family and friends at Jubilee Court care home in March last Sunday.
Care home manager Diane Bower and three other staff then returned the favour and serenaded Mrs Quince with ‘Isn’t She Lovely’.
Mrs Quince’s singing talents have become known to more than just her family and friends - she sang with roving reporter Johnny Dee on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire earlier this month.
Mrs Quince became a great, great grandmother in September following the birth of young Oliver.
Jan Ayres, Hilda’s daughter, said: “Hilda loves reading and is an avid newspaper reader, doing the crossword every day.
“She also loves going to the cinema, going out for meals and spending time with the family.
“Mum loves karaoke and wearing high heels.
“She is obsessed with St Mary’s Church (Westry), so the next benchmark for her will be its opening on April 1.”
