MORE than 120 people celebrated Easter with a fun-packed family party at Community House in Wisbech.

It was the first event to be organised jointly by Fenland District Council’s community development team and Wisbech South Children’s Centre. And the enthusiastic response has made them keen to hold similar ones in the future.

Many different groups came together as 60 parents and 64 children joined in a day of activities, including egg painting, biscuit decorating and face painting, as well as music and soft play.

Helen Keppel, community projects officer at Community House, said: “This was the first time we had teamed up with Wisbech South Children’s Centre on an event and it was a huge success in bringing all sorts of people from different backgrounds together. So we’re definitely hoping to do more work with them in the future.”
