A SPECIAL flag honouring the Armed Forces will be raised by Fenland District Council at Fenland Hall on Monday. It will continue to be flown all week, leading up to the official Armed Forces Day on June 25.
It is the third year that FDC has demonstrated its support for the national event.
Councillor Michael Humphrey, FDC’s chairman, said: “By flying the flag Fenland will again be showing its deep appreciation of the Armed Forces. It is a way of expressing our thanks to all the men and women who have served as veterans in the past or are serving today as regulars, reservists and cadets and their families.
They continue to rise to the very difficult challenge of maintaining the defence of the realm. We are proud of them and grateful for their courage and dedication.”
