FENLANDER: Fenland Council’s summer leisure offer proves a big hit

MORE than 210 people have so far taken advantage of the special summer promotion at Fenland District Council’s three leisure centres.

The offer gives people three months’ unlimited access to swimming, fitness classes, the gyms and health suites for a one-off payment of 89 or three monthly direct debits of 29.66 – a reduction of 26.50 on the normal price of Ambassador membership.

And anyone who remains a member after that gets a free Optimum card (usually 26 adult; 15.50 concessions) and can go on to get Ambassador membership immediately, without having to first commit themselves to continuing with it for six months.

The offer remains open until August 5.

Councillor Steve Garratt, portfolio holder responsible for health, said: “The tremendous response we’ve had shows what amazing value this offer is. Not only does it give you a great opportunity to get fit for the summer, it also helps you maintain a healthier lifestyle throughout the year.”
