A HALF-DAY training session for voluntary groups is being held by the Cambridge Council for Voluntary Service (CCVS) in March next Thursday (January 17).

It will focus on how groups should go about checking that what they are doing is having the desired effect.

Topics will include the importance of careful monitoring and evaluation, keeping proper records and reporting and celebrating success.

The training is from 9.30am-12.30pm at March Town Hall. It will be followed by support sessions (1.30-3.30pm) at which groups can get help from trained and experienced advisors on a wide range of subjects, including finance, funding and staying out of trouble.

The training course is free to CCVS members or £60 for non-member groups. The afternoon support sessions are free to all. For more details and to book a training space or an appointment, call the CCVs on 01223 464696 or e-mail enquiries@cambridgecvs.org.uk
