VILLAGERS in Leverington are being given the chance to comment on plans to amend the boundary of its conservation area, which has remained unchanged since 1993.
One of three changes that Fenland District Council is proposing is the inclusion of the natural boundary surrounding Leverington Hall because the existing boundary passes through the middle of the garden.
It is also proposing the inclusion of the area of tree cover to the south of the B1169 that screens the housing at numbers 11-25 Dowgate Road, and the removal of the property at number 6 Church Road, which is a relatively new building.
Letters have been sent to residents inside the conservation area giving details of the proposals and inviting comments. The plans are set out in a new conservation area appraisal document that can be viewed at Leverington post office, the Fenland@your service shop in Wisbech and Fenland Hall.
The consultation will continue until November 8.
