A POPULAR dance class is restarting in Leverington next week, with more villagers being invited to join in. And anyone who mentions this story to the teacher will get the first class free.
The weekly classes are being held in the village hall on Thursdays from 10-11am. They are part of Living Sport’s “Dancing for Fun and Better Health” scheme for the over-50s.
Teacher Kate Smith, pictured, said: “It’s great that the class is restarting after the summer break. We have done everything from West End musicals and ABBA to salsa and much more. The group feed back to me what type of dance or songs they like and I choreograph a routine to suit them. So whether you have a background in dance or have never danced a step before I’d love to see you.”
Classes normally cost 2 per session. The scheme is part of Age UK’s national “Fit as a Fiddle” programme. For more details, call Claire Smith on 01487 849912 or e-mail claire.smith@livingsport.co.uk
