Keep the litter out of the laybys

HERE is the latest News Briefing from Fenland District Council.

Keep the litter out of the laybys

SPECIAL purple litter bins will be popping up in lay-bys on main roads across Fenland over the next 18 months. Councillor Peter Murphy, portfolio holder with responsibility for environmental sustainability said: “Customers and staff have asked us to provide more litter bins in laybys on the busier roads in Fenland. We are using a high-profile bin to underline the importance of not littering in these locations. Our dedicated cleansing team of 20 staff pick up about 2,000 tonnes of litter each year, so make their life a little easier and use the bins, please!”
