TEA dances have started up again at the Hudson leisure centre in Wisbech.

They returned this week after a summer break and will be taking place there fortnightly on Mondays (2-4pm). They cost 2.50 per person each session.

It’s a chance for people who have previously attended to get back in the swing or learn new steps or for newcomers to give it a go, have a bit of fun and make new friends. The next one is on October 3. For more details, call the Hudson on 01945 584230.

Tea dances are also held at the Manor leisure centre in Whittlesey, where they are run by Living Sport. They happen on the first and third Thursday of each month (2-4pm) and cost 1.50 per person (plus 50p for refreshments). For details call the Manor on 01733 202298.

Councillor Steve Garratt, FDC’s portfolio holder responsible for leisure, said: “Dancing is a really good way of staying active, whatever your age, as well as being great fun. Also, the Manor has just had a refit which has much improved the hall for all the activities.”
