FENLANDER: The Landscape Group make start of grass-cutting season with new machines

THE thick mist was hardly in keeping with the arrival of spring. But that didn’t prevent staff from The Landscape Group (TLG), Fenland District Council’s new grounds maintenance contractors, from gathering in March’s West End Park last week to mark the start of this year’s grass-cutting season.

They were joined by members of the council’s parks and open spaces team as they showed off five of the new mowing machines they’ll be using to keep Fenland’s green spaces in pristine condition.

Earlier this month a new telephone hotline – 01354 650780 – was launched which enables residents to report any problem or enquiry relating to the upkeep of Fenland’s parks and other open spaces direct to TLG, instead of having to go through the council.
