TWO more opportunities for people to help shape the future of Wisbech are being provided this month.
They can have their say by visiting a special stand that will be in the town’s Market Place on September 22 and 29 (10am-3pm).
The events are part of a continuing process of engaging the community in the joint Wisbech 2020 Vision project launched earlier this year by Fenland District Council, Cambridgeshire County Council and Stephen Barclay MP.
They follow last week’s launch of a survey that lists more than 20 issues that have been identified as needing to be addressed to make Wisbech a better place to live and work. It asks people to mark the eight they see as most important. It also provides an opportunity to add other ideas or comments.
The survey is available online on www.wisbech2020vision.co.uk/survey. Paper copies are available in the Wisbech Fenland @ your service shop and Wisbech library. Responses must be in by September 30.
On October 26 a Vision Summit will bring everything together and review progress. Detailed recommendations will then be drawn up to form an agreed action plan that will be formally launched in January 2013.
