WEDDINGS and wedding anniversaries was the theme for the colourful flower festival at St Mary's Church, Doddington.

The festival attracted large numbers of visitors to view the 25 individual arrangements. The altar, pillars, pews and pulpit were also decorated with flowers.

On Saturday a variety of stalls including homemade cakes and bric-a-brac did a brisk trade. A concert in the evening featured music by Hereward Harmony.

A celebratory songs of praise service on Sunday afternoon proved popular with visitors and regular members of the congregation.

Money raised during the weekend will go towards the upkeep of the church.
