Primary schools in Whittlesey held a festival of girls’ football funded by the Burnt House Wind Farm Fund.
The funding has led to a season-long series of football-related activities organised by the Peterborough & Fenland Referee Development Scheme.
The latest event saw Alderman Jacobs, Coates, New Road and Park Lane participate at New Road.
The hosts supplied team mascots, leading out the squads Olympic style and the match officials.
Organiser Robert Windle said: “We were grateful to the FA and First Media who supplied a fantastic amount of Respect t-shirts and other gifts and all the medals were provided from the grant funding that we received.”
Whittlesey Juniors FC were also thanked for the loan of marking equipment.
The Burnt House Wind Farms fund helps people who live in Whittlesey, Turves, Eastrea, Benwick, Coates, Wimblington, Doddington and the parts of March which are within a five mile radius of the wind farm.
Charitable projects are supported if they demonstrate it would benefit a material proportion of the local community.
Grants are offered in the range of £250 to £6,000.
