The spirit of Christmas was alive and kicking when villagers turned out in force for the Benwick Santa Special.
Free fun fair rides and an Elvis impersonator were among the attractions on offer for the second year of festive fun in the village.
The event is hosted thanks to a team of helpers ,including people from the 22-strong Neighbourhood Watch team, who put hours into making sure the event ran successfully.
Haulage firms whose lorries come through Benwick and other local businesses donated funds to help stage the £6,000 event.
Fun fair rides at the attraction were a giant ferris wheel, a fast paced Miami ride for teenagers, three children’s rides, a rifle range, coconut shut and life size Minnie and Mickey mouse.
There was Mr and Mrs Santa, elves, reindeer and plenty of refreshments.
